$130 Museum Members / $150 Non-Members

Each Birthday Bash includes:

  • Admission, refreshments and fun for the birthday child and up to 12 guests for a total of 13 children.
  • Up to 8 adult chaperones are included and expected to supervise children at all times. At least 1 adult chaperone (age 16+) is required per 5 children. Let us know if you are inviting more adults and fewer children. Bashes are limited to a maximum of 30 people due to room capacity - book an Hullabaloo party if you are planning to invite more than 30.
  • 1 hour in our private party room plus unlimited time exploring the Museum during open hours (we will store your gifts during your play time)
  • Museum "Birthday Buddy" to help lead festivities during private room time.
  • Solid color tableware with lemonade, water and a 14-serving Dairy Queen ice cream cake with candles. If you have extra guests or want your adults to have cake, you may need to order an extra —see below. No outside food or drink allowed.
  • Photo backdrop with props and birthday "throne" in party room (bring your camera!)
  • $5.00 gift shop certificate for the birthday child

Each Themed Birthday Bash includes everything in the Birthday Bash package PLUS:
 
  • Extra half hour in party room for activities, if needed
  • Age-appropriate, themed activities led by Museum staff with take-home item for each child
  • Dress-up items for children to wear during private room time
  • Decorations, photo backdrop & props coordinated with chosen theme
  • Themed gift from the Museum for the birthday child

Extras for Birthday Bashes (please order at least a week in advance):

  • Extra children beyond 13 included in bash: $8 members, $10 non-members
  • Extra adults beyond 8 included in bash: $5 each
  • Large 14" 2-topping Toppers pizza (6 servings each - 2 pizza minimum): $10 each
  • 15-piece Jimmy John's Party Platter (ham, turkey, & veggie available): $30 each
  • Extra Dairy Queen ice cream cake (serves ~14): $20 each
  • Stuff-your-own mini-plush (included in Safari bashes) $5.50 each

Birthday Bash Times:

Choose the day and time for your party room time from the options below (pending availability) and plan to explore the Museum before and/or after, with your adult chaperones providing supervision, during regular hours. Please ask your guests arrive at the Museum at least 30 minutes before your scheduled party room start time.

Tuesdays through Saturdays 11 am to Noon*, 1 to 2 pm* or 3 to 4 pm*

Sundays 1 to 2 pm* or 3 to 4 pm*

* Themed Birthday Bashes get an extra half hour in the party room, if needed.

Important Notes:

  • Please make sure guests are told to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to room start time for prompt start and full hour.
  • Due to party room capacity, party attendance cannot exceed 30 people total. Consider an after-hours Hullabaloo if you are inviting a larger group.
  • At least one adult (age 16+) is required per every 5 children and must supervise children at all times in all areas of the museum.
  • Payment of the base party fee is due in full at registration. Any necessary adjustments and payment for extras will be made on date of party. Extras must be ordered at least one week prior to event.
  • Cancellations made more than 10 days before party will be fully refunded. The Museum will retain $25.00 for cancellations made within 10 days before party date, unless party is rescheduled.
  • We accept cash, check, VISA, MasterCard and Discover.
  • No outside food or beverages. Let us know if there is an allergy issue.
  • All food/beverages must be consumed in lower level party room.
  • You may bring your own tabletop decorations, but we do not allow confetti, piñatas, or taping/fastening anything to the walls, windows, doors, or ceilings

after-hours hullabaloo

$275.00 Museum Members / $325.00 Non-Members

Get the Children’s Museum to yourselves for a birthday, family reunion, company party, school event or any celebration!

A Hullabaloo includes:

  • You and your invited guests (up to 150 people) get the entire Museum to yourselves!
  • Two hours of private Museum exploration.
  • You may bring in your own food and refreshments (no alcohol or red beverages) for this after-hours party (you must also provide paper goods and utensils) or order from our extras menu at least a week prior to your event. All food and refreshments must stay in the lower level party room. Please minimize food waste in our trash by taking your leftovers home with you.
  • $5.00 gift shop certificate for the birthday child
  • This package does not include additional activities, decorations, birthday buddy, refreshments, or paper goods.

Extras for Hullabaloo (order at least one week before event):

  • Large 14" 2-topping Toppers pizza (6 servings each - 2 pizza minimum): $10 each
  • 15-piece Jimmy John's Party Platter (ham, turkey, & veggie available): $30 each
  • Dairy Queen Ice cream cake (serves 12-14): $20 each
  • Stuff-your-own mini-plush: $5.50 each
  • Lemonade/Water + cups: 75¢ per person
  • Climbing wall: $20 per hour
  • One extra hour (9 to 10 am Sundays or 7:30-8:30 pm other days): $100

Hullabaloo Times:

Hullabaloo parties can be held (pending availability), Tuesdays through Sundays 5:30-7:30 pm or Sundays, 10-Noon.
Please book at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure we can accommodate your request.

When can we have a party?
Your time in the private party room for bashes can be scheduled, pending availability, for the following days and times: Tuesdays through Saturdays: 11 to 12:00 noon, 1 to 2 pm, 3 to 4 pm or Sundays 1 to 2 pm or 3 to 4 pm (themed parties get an extra half hour in party room if needed). Please ask guests to arrive at the Museum at least 30 minutes before your party room start time.
After-hour Hullabaloo parties can be held, pending availability, Tuesdays through Sundays from 5:30-7:30 or Sundays from 10 am to Noon.
 
When is payment required?
Full payment of the base party fee is required at registration. Extras must be ordered at least a week prior to your event, but can be paid for on the party date. We accept cash, check, VISA, MasterCard and Discover. Cancellations made more than 10 days before party will be fully refunded. How do I schedule a party?
You may schedule any type of party by calling 608-784-2652 x225. Birthday and themed bashes can also be scheduled online.
 
Can we bring in our own food?
We do not allow outside food or beverage in the Museum during regular hours. We provide an ice cream cake and can order pizzas or subs (extra fee) for a birthday or themed bash. Let us know if special arrangements are needed due to an allergy issue. If you want more than ice cream cake and pizza/subs, consider an after-hours Hullabaloo party where you can arrange your own food and refreshments (no alcohol or red beverages).
 
Will Museum staff play with/supervise our children throughout the entire party?
The “Birthday Buddy” will serve refreshments and help with activities during your time in the party room for birthday/themed bashes. Your adults are responsible for supervising children at all times, including playtime before/after party room time and the entire time during Hullabaloo parties.
 
Does our party/event include play time?
Yes! Before and/or after your time in the party room, you and your supervised party guests are welcome to enjoy the rest of the Museum during our regular hours. Hullabaloo party guests have access to the entire museum for the full two hours.
 

If some of our guests are Museum members, can they attend our party at no charge?

No. Parties are special events that include more than Museum admission. All children (over 12 months) and adults attending your party will count towards the guest total. If a child guest’s parent and sibling/s are not attending your birthday/themed bash and want to play in the Museum while their child attends your party, they may check in under their membership or pay regular admission.

What decorations do you provide? Can we bring our own?

Our birthday/themed bash party room offers a festive setting, with a birthday throne and a backdrop for fun photos! You may bring your own tabletop decorations, but we do not allow taping or fastening anything to the walls, windows, doors or ceilings. Please no piñatas or confetti.

Do you provide party invitations?

Yes. After your party is scheduled, you are welcome to print this invitation, just fold and add your party details (remember to ask guests to arrive at least 30 minutes before your party room time for birthday/themed bashes), then send them to your guests. You can also use our fill-in-the-blank thank you notes.
