accessibility
The Children’s Museum welcomes visitors of all abilities. Our three public floors can be accessed by elevator. All restrooms and most exhibits are wheelchair accessible. We also have a small wheelchair in our coat room available for use during a Museum visit.
Adventure Backpacks
We are proud to partner with the La Crosse Autism Foundation and the Chileda Institute to provide our visitors with Adventure Backpacks. These packs were originally designed with children on the spectrum in mind, but may be used by anyone looking for a little extra structure while they play here at the museum. Packs include supplies such as schedules, timers, ear mufflers, and fidgets to be checked out and used during your visit. Ask our front desk staff when you come play, or contact Info@funmuseum.org or 608-784-2652 for more information before your visit.
Group Visits
Check the Field Trip page or contact Info@funmuseum.org or 608-784-2652 for more information. Another option, if you plan repeat visits, may be our prepaid admission program for non-profit organizations and child care providers. Details here.
Inclusion Night Event
Occasionally, we host a special evening event for children who may need a quieter time or access to additional resources to enjoy the Museum. Check our calendar or call 608-784-2652 for details.
